Shirdi is a town and falls under Rahat Tahasil in Ahmednagar District in the Indian state of Maharashtra. Shirdi is a place of faith in each devotee Shri Sai. Sai Baba believed in the uniformity of religion and no one distinguished on the basis of caste, creed or religion. He always made a point of no return empty handed those who had come to him in his hour of need and suffering in the Buses from Shirdi. He performed miracles to alleviate the suffering of the poor. On one occasion, he restored the sight of an elderly blind and on another occasion he lighted a lantern with water when there was no oil to burn it.
