Travelling on a budget is always a bit tough as you really have to be careful with what you are spending money on. We needed a car for our trip in NZ but we searched around for a place that offered cheap car rental as we just needed something that would get us around, it didn’t need to be fancy with all the bells and whistles. We also were thrifty when it came to our accommodation, we stayed in hostels as opposed to motels and even though it was a lot cheaper it still saved us enough to make it worthwhile and to be honest we probably had more fun staying at them than at a motel.
