When my son was in high school we agreed to host a foreign exchange student for his senior year. It was a wonderful experience for the entire family. We learned so much about the customs and culture of this fine young man from South Africa. As the end of the year approached, his parents sent us an invitation to visit them over the summer. My husband and I agreed to make it part of our son’s graduation present, and with great excitement we boarded a plane shortly after school was completed. When we landed, a rental car was waiting for us to pick up at durban car rental. We found the agency easily and were soon on our way to our foreign student’s home. The difference was that now we had the experience of being foreigners. What a wonderful time we had sharing stories of our sons and enjoying each other and this lovely country.

I am a youth minister here in Portland. My church board and I had a meeting recently and were deliberating on where to take our next mission trip. Costa Rica came up frequently, and after discussing a couple of other places, that is what we decided on. We’re trying to figure out the best lodging arrangements. Some friends and I decided we would have a long weekend and take a trip to the great lake for some well deserved down time. There is so much to see and don’t forget the possibility of seeing different animals right in the wild. One great city that is located in Australia is called Perth. Perth is a city, so if you want to stay here you won’t be in the center of the wild. There is still a lot to see and the buildings are amazing including the hotels. If you want to find a perth hotel, then you have a lot of options, so be ready to be amazed.
